The Nutcracker

Two December performances at Daytona Beach’s historic Peabody Auditorium — the production that opened the tradition.

On Christmas Eve, young Clara receives a Nutcracker doll from her mysterious Aunt Drosselmeyer, and when the clock strikes midnight her living room becomes a battlefield, a winter forest, and finally the Kingdom of the Sweets. Tchaikovsky’s beloved score, the Snow Queen and her Snowflakes, the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier — the whole enchanted evening, danced by the full school.
