He stole fire from the gods and gave it to humankind — and paid for the gift forever.

The Work

Built on the oldest of myths, Prometheus traced the arc from theft to gift to consequence in a single act of continuous movement — the fire passed literally from dancer to dancer as light traveled the stage. An original contemporary vocabulary set the titan’s defiance against the machinery of the gods, asking what any of us would sacrifice to hand something better to the people who come after us.
