Maggie O'Brien brings over 12 years of dance experience to Ormond Ballet, having worked as a student, apprentice, demi-soloist, and principal performer. Originally from South Carolina, she has collaborated with numerous organizations including Palmetto City Ballet, Impact Creative Arts Academy, Ballet Evolution, Charleston Ballet Theatre, and the SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities.
Her performance repertoire spans classical works such as La Sylphide, La Bayadère, Romeo and Juliet, and The Nutcracker, as well as contemporary pieces. She holds training in classical ballet, modern dance, pilates, and yoga, having studied under renowned artists including Irina Ushakova, Josee Garant, and Cynthia Harvey. Her education encompasses Balanchine, Vaganova, Cecchetti, Graham, and Horton methodologies.
After relocating to Florida to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, O'Brien continues her passion for dance education at Ormond Ballet.
