About Ormond Ballet

Every Stage Has a Purpose

At Ormond Ballet, we believe that dance education is about far more than learning steps. It is a lifelong journey of artistic discovery, personal growth, and meaningful human connection.

Every student arrives with a unique story. Some are taking their very first dance class. Others are preparing for professional training. While others are rediscovering a love of movement after many years away. Whatever brings them through our doors, we believe every stage of life and every stage of learning deserves thoughtful guidance, meaningful challenges, and genuine encouragement.

Our programs are designed to support dancers throughout that journey. From Foundations in Dance, where young children build confidence, coordination, and a love of movement, to our Professional Training programs for Developing and Emerging Artists, where students pursue artistic excellence through disciplined study, to Adult Ballet, where dancers continue to learn, grow, and experience the joy of movement at every age, each program reflects our commitment to purposeful education and lifelong learning.

Our approach is rooted in the traditions of classical ballet while embracing the broader education of the whole artist. Through disciplined training, meaningful artistic experiences, and supportive mentorship, students develop technical excellence, creative expression, resilience, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.

At Ormond Ballet, we strive to create an environment where students are challenged to think, encouraged to ask questions, and inspired to discover what they are capable of becoming. We believe that great teaching is not simply about passing on knowledge—it is about cultivating the conditions in which each student can grow with confidence, integrity, and purpose.

The lessons learned through dance extend far beyond the studio. Patience, perseverance, collaboration, responsibility, artistry, and courage become qualities that enrich every aspect of life, whether a student pursues a professional career, is a dance hobbyist, or simply carries those experiences into another path.

Founded by Michelle Boutros and Jeremiah Garner, Ormond Ballet was created with a vision of providing exceptional dance education while fostering a community where every student is known, supported, and inspired. Our faculty is committed to honoring the traditions of concert dance while preparing students to think creatively, embrace challenges, and contribute meaningfully to the arts and to their communities.

Whether someone joins us for a single season, many years, or discovers dance for the first time as an adult, our hope remains the same: that they leave stronger, more confident, more curious, and more deeply connected to themselves, to others, and to the transformative power of dance.

Because at Ormond Ballet, every stage has a purpose.
