Ms. Juneta Ozolina

Juneta Ozolina was born in Riga, Latvia. At age nine, she began her professional ballet training at Riga Ballet Academy, the same school where Michael Baryshnikov and Vladimir Godunov began their training. Upon graduation in 1985, Juneta was accepted as a principal dancer at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet theater. Among her favorite roles were Muse in “Apollo”, Odette-Odile in “Swan Lake”, and Lilac Fairy in “Sleeping Beauty”.
Juneta went on theatre tours internationally with classical repertoires including Don Quixote, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Corsair, Romeo and Juliet, Chopiniana, Carmen, Bolero, Copelia and many other original productions. She had an honor to perform with legendary E. Maksimova and V. Vasiliev in ballet “Anyuta”. She also danced as a principal dancer at Latvian Independent Ballet Company before moving to New York City in 1996 to study at Lee Strasberg theater institute. Additionally, Juneta is a winner of Rumi International Dance Award in 2018, San Francisco, CA, and has performed as a guest artist internationally, including the Cannes Film Festival Gala.
During her career Ms. Juneta served as a ballet mistress and guest ballet teacher at Ballet Academies In Miami, New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. She was the artistic director at Malibu Dolphins Ballet. As a creator of ballet inspired fitness program “Balletmania”, Juneta was a celebrity fitness trainer in Malibu, CA. Additionally, she is certified in Progressing Ballet technique and attended Vaganova ballet pedagogical course in St. Petersburg, Russia. Miss Juneta is dedicated to the highest standards of excellence in every aspect of her teaching and she believes in the artistic potential of every student.
Ms. Juneta is happy to have an opportunity to teach your children at Ormond Ballet and can’t wait to see them grow and blossom into beautiful dancers and performers. Ms. Juneta is married and blessed to have three wonderful children. Her youngest daughter, Victoria, is part of the Ormond Ballet family.
