Miss Maggie O’Brien has been studying and teaching dance for the past 12 years as a student, apprentice, demi-soloist, and principal. Originally from South Carolina, Miss Maggie has performed, choreographed, and taught with Palmetto City Ballet, Impact Creative Arts Academy, Ballet Evolution, Charleston Ballet Theatre, Lowcountry Youth Dance Academy, and the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. She has performed numerous roles in La Sylphide, La Bayadere, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Paquita, Coppelia, Don Quixote, and other original works from choreographers in the industry.

Miss Maggie O’Brien is trained in classical ballet and modern dance with certifications in pilates and yoga. She has studied under many wonderful artists including Irina Ushakova, Josee Garant, Irina Kolpakova, Cynthia Harvey, and many more. With these artists she has studied the fundamentals and advancements of Balanchine, Vaganova, Cecchetti, Graham, and Horton methods. After moving to Florida to attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, she is thrilled to continue passing on her love for dance at Ormond Ballet.
